Week 11 Discount Diving on FanDuel and Rankings

Robert Griffin III, Best Fantasy Rookie QB Ever?

Last week by in large was a successful week for Discount Diving. Although the lineup I posted only won in one contest, I did do well in all of my other contests, using many of the same discount players. The big hitters were Justin Forsett, Roddy White, and Jason Witten performing as I projected. Jeremy Hill had a forgettable performance on Thursday night netting only 4.6 points. Also, if you happened to discount your Quarterback position with Matt Ryan as I did in several leagues you were underwhelmed again with a 15.6 point performance.

Serves as a reminder that I am not suggesting playing every single Discount player each week, nor am I encouraging duplicating my rosters. You certainly can, but know that I typically enter multiple lineups each week, and show the lineup with the most discounts/stars I use each week. Week 9 it was great, Week 10 not terrible, but not necessarily a winner. However my winning lineup contained three of my value plays. That is the point, to help target a few cheaper players and build around them. If you want to copy my lineups, go for it. Just know that isn’t the entire point.

Week 11 we have a few more big hitters missing with DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryantand Tony Romo. Jacksonville and the New York Jets are also on bye…….but, it is the Jaguars and Jets. A game myself, and most others will be following close is the Patriots vs Colts. This game smells like a shootout to me in every way possible, so I will be targeting some guys from this game for sure.

Also, be sure to check out my overall Week 11 Rankings below too which can help (possibly) with some of your tough start or sit questions this week. As always I am also available on twitter @fantsychillpony and will respond to all questions promptly.

Also, once again if you haven’t tried SKYLLZONE yet for a different Daily Fantasy experience you still can. Draft quickly, snake draft style, and against 9 computers. Oh yeah, I can’t forget, it is completely free. You have a chance to win money each and every week, or SKYLL points too. If you like getting pointers for that too, be sure to check out the SKLLYBLOG.

Quarterback: Robert Griffin, Washington vs Tampa Bay

Griffin was not dominant in Week 9, but serviceable. This week however is a matchup anyone should be jumping at if they are looking to go cheap on their Quarterback position again. Griffin is facing a Buccaneer defense that is giving up nearly 300 yards through the air along with two touchdowns. If there is any week to use Griffin in DFS this should be your week. He may even pick up some points by using his feet too. He will only cost you $7,400 this week on FanDuel too. Projected FanDuel Points: 19.4

Running Back: Shane Vereen, New England at Indianapolis

Vereen is ranked 10th amongst my fellow Fantasy Pros this week, and for good reason. As stated above this game should be a shootout and Vereen should get plenty of PPR added points. His cost is another added bonus coming at $6,500 makes him a great RB2 play this week. Projected FanDuel Points: 13.6

Wide Receiver: Roddy White, Atlanta at Carolina

I scoured trying to find someone else this week since I used Roddy last week, but alas couldn’t seem to find a better option. He is once again at a discount, for projected output this week. $6,800 is what it will cost you for a rock solid WR3 this week against a Panthers team that is in shambles, to put it nicely. If Matt Ryan can be afforded any time in the pocket both receivers should be due for nice output. White is just significantly cheaper, and is ranked as the 12th receiver on Fantasy Pros.  Projected FanDuel Points: 12.5

Kelce should be able to capitalize against the 4th worst TE defense in Week 11.

Tight End: Travis Kelce, Kansas City vs Seattle

This may be the cheapest you can find Kelce on FanDuel the rest of the season ($5,900). Seattle still has the intimidating defense but they have struggled mightily against Tight Ends this season. They are currently the 4th worst defense covering the position. The Chiefs are also at home where Kelce has fared well. Considering the Seahawks lack of receiving weapons, the Seahawks secondary Kelce should be the second option this weekend after Jamaal Charles (Of Course). Projected FanDuel Points: 8.8
