Fantasy Fatcast: Wide Receivers, Wings and Where’s Emack’s Mute Button?

Eric Mack and I did our second “Fantasy Fatcast” podcast Tuesday night, but we were joined by our new host, Brett Tresky, and our special guest, Tom Romaniw. We discussed the wide receivers position, now that we’ve lost a couple Fantasy starters to injury since last week’s podcast.

We’re still working out the kinks, as you’ll hear, as we try to figure out some of the latency issues and knowing when to talk, or in Emack’s case, when to take a breath.

This was also BT’s first time hosting the show, and I think he did a bang-up job!

Can you imagine trying to corral Emack and I into a straight, fat line?

Hurtin’ Harvin and No-Tacklin’ Maclin

Any owner that drafted Percy Harvin or Jeremy Maclin before this past week certainly felt some sympathy pains, as Harvin’s hip and Maclin’s knee will keep them off the field. We discuss their replacements and their teammates’ Fantasy values.

Terrell Owens and Randy Moss are available, though!

Tom joined us in the middle of the Fantasy Fatcast, after his kid gave him back his phone privileges. Tom comes to us from the grassy plains of Boston (or beaches, or mountains, or bean piles, whatever’s up there). He shares his excitement over the coming rookie season expected from Rams WR Tavon Austin.

Tom and Emack are both assistant coaches for a Pop Warner football league in the Boston area. (Shout-out to Colin and Kaden, the kids they coach, who are probably listening to the podcast on a futuristic space phone. Darn kids.)

We also talk third-year wide receivers, second-year wide receivers and … first-year wide receivers. We saved the discussion on 12th-year wide receivers for next week.

We hope you enjoyed this “Fantasy Fatcast” podcast episode, and we promise, next week’s will be … in English. That’s all we can promise at this point. With that said, I think you’ll agree that it’s a lot of fun and full of good opinions — and Emack!
