It certainly felt great to get back in the win column on FanDuel in a big way last week after a successful sample lineup, and discount diving post. Hitting on Ryan Tannehill, Jeremy Hill, and getting a decent performance from Rueben Randle helped lead three entries with this lineup to payout and scoring 131 points.
Once again, I stress I don’t write this as much for Tournament entires, although I am sure you could use it, but more for the 50/50 contests. Last week I submitted more than three lineups for the first time this season with relative success. I will try the same this week, but post my favorite lineup for you to observe or try out if you like.
I wish everyone luck this week, especially with the bye week and be sure to check out my Rankings as well posted below. They WILL be getting updated throughout the week, so not final, they are close.
Quarterback: Matt Ryan, Atlanta at Tampa Bay
Last week we nailed it with Tannehill so let’s go for a repeat shall we? Tampa Bay has given up the 5th most Fantasy points in the NFL this season. Ryan is rested, and his two star receivers should be primed and ready to shred this porous secondary. At the cost of $7,800 you can’t go wrong in snagging my 5th ranked QB this week. Projected FanDuel Points: 19 points
NOTE: Thursday Night Match Running Back: Jeremy Hill, Cincinnati vs Cleveland
Hill is a repeat offender this week appearing in my Discount Diving column. Although he isn’t as cheap as last week, he is still “Affordable” and should have no real issues producing tonight against Cleveland’s defense. They are ranked 30th against the run and he will get the bulk of the carries once again this week. For $6,900 and his projected output sneak him in your lineups tonight!! If you can…Projected FanDuel Points: 15.7
In case you missed Thursday Night
Running Back: Justin Forsett, Baltimore vs Tennessee
Forsett has managed to produce even with minimal carries. This week he faces a defense that is ranked 27th against the run. Baltimore should have possesion time advantage, and that means Forsett should get enough touches to be productive as your RB2/Flex option this week. His price tag of $6,500 isn’t to shabby either. Projected FanDuel Points: 13.7
Wide Receiver: Roddy White, Atlanta at Tampa Bay
As I mentioned above Ryan will be looking to air it out, and restore confidence in their offense. Tampa Bay has not shown any ability to be able to slow down offenses this season, so I look for both wideouts in Atlanta to produce. Roddy should be produce well above his cost this week. If you are REALLY bold, which I am, but not this much you could pair all three Matt Ryan, Roddy White, and Julio Jones this week. For me I am sticking to Roddy and his clearance tag cost of $6,600. Projected FanDuel Points: 12.7
Tight End: Jason Witten, Dallas at Jacksonville
Witten doesn’t normally do much for me, but this week he plays Jacksonville and although they will be in London I think one of the most consistent Tight Ends in the game could easily see the end-zone this weekend. I will take that chance for $5,800. No reason not to expect a league average tight end score this week. Projected FanDuel Points: 8.4
