Week 4 RB Rankings — Sponsored by SKYLLZONE

Six teams on bye weeks in the very first week of bye weeks? That’s ripping the Band-Aid off with one quick pull! Our Week 4 RB Rankings will definitely show how thin the position is, and how several teams in your league will be scraping the barrel for running backs this week – especially if they have flex positions, too.

Not only are there going to be six starting tailbacks and their backups removed from the rankings, as well as any third-down players or goal-line runners, but we also saw more casualties last week to injury.

The Carolina Panthers might as well start Cam Newton as the tailback, with Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert and Fozzy Whitaker all beat up behind an already hobbled DeAngelo Williams.

Then there’s the Baltimore Ravens, who at least added a running back to the Fantasy world, as opposed to take one away. Rookie RB Lorenzo Taliaferro, who I pimped a few weeks ago, had a very nice game and is expected to take on a bigger role going forward, along with Bernard Pierce and Justin Forsett.

Other running back situations are starting to get a little more muddled, also. James Starks is slowly crawling up the rankings as Eddie Lacy continues to disappoint. No doubt, Lacy has been the second-most disappointing running back in Fantasy this year (see Adrian Peterson).

The Jets are finally seeing what we talked about midsummer, as Chris Ivory has proven to be much better than Chris Johnson. Ivory’s averaging 5.7 yards per carry compared to Johnson’s 3.5 YPC.

DeMarco Murray and Le’Veon Bell continue to look like top-five running backs, and LeSean McCoy is starting to fade back a bit, as his offensive line is suddenly an injury-marred group.

Matt Asiata is still ahead of Jerick McKinnon on the Vikings’ depth chart, and Ahmad Bradshaw has officially eclipsed Trent Richardson in the Week 4 RB rankings.

The SKYLLZONE Week 4 ADP will be posted soon, so keep an eye out for that.
