Before we get into the Week 8 Waiver Wire, let’s take a quick look back. The only word I could think of to express Week 7 is “Wow.” We saw outstanding Fantasy performances from Golden Tate, Sammy Watkins, Ronnie Hillman, and many others. However, there were many brutal injuries, including Bills RB C.J. Spiller, who unfortunately is out for the year with a shoulder injury.
Besides the injuries, there were some breakout performances. The Jaguars seem to have found their primary back, while the Rams may have found theirs, as well. Some wide receivers had solid games, and there were some tight ends that came through with solid production.
In Week 8, the Giants and 49ers are the bye-week teams, so keep that in mind as you not only read this article, but as you submit your Week 8 waiver wire picks. Remember not to drop anyone that is relevant to your team, only drop players that have not produced all season long. Here is my advice on whom to pickup on the waiver wire this week.

If you have a roster spot available, or are struggling at quarterback; this is the time to pick up RG3. Griffin is on the verge of returning from his ankle injury, and the Redskins’ star quarterback should return to being a viable fantasy option at quarterback. Before the injury, I thought Griffin was on the verge of having a monster season, and he still could if he returns soon; which is what it appears. Per reports, Griffin may practice on Wednesday, which would mean he could have a chance to play next Monday night. Before he returns and is scooped up, I advise you to pick up Griffin now, and reap the rewards later.
Non-injured drop candidates: Andy Dalton, Kirk Cousins

The fourth-round pick out of Auburn, Mason, finally broke out on Sunday. Mason saw the bulk of the carries in the Rams’ backfield, carrying the ball 18 times for 85 yards and a touchdown. It seems like the backfield in St. Louis is no longer a committee, but hopefully, Mason is the man, and should be owned in all leagues. He is a must-add, as he could potentially wind up helping you win your fantasy league.
Non-injured drop candidates: Zac Stacy, Chris Johnson, and Khiry Robinson

Non-injured drop candidates: Brandin Cooks, Cordarrelle Patterson

It was an unlucky day for the Bills at running back on Sunday, as they lost both Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller to injuries. Spiller is out for the year; however, Jackson is expected to out for 4 weeks. That being said, the Bills will turn to Brown to be their premier guy at running back while Jackson is out. We all remember when Brown was with the Eagles, where he was a very good replacement when LeSean McCoy would go down. Anthony Dixon is more of a power and third down back, so Brown should be the guy. I’d consider Brown a very good addition off of waivers, especially if you’re weak at running back.
Non-injured drop candidates: Toby Gerhart, Brandon Bolden, and Matt Asiata

After the Seahawks traded Percy Harvin to the Jets, it’s Baldwin who seems to be picking up the slack as the number one receiver. Baldwin impressed in his first game in his new role, catching 7 balls for 123 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Without Harvin, his role should only continue to increase. With many receivers like Keenan Allen, and others establishing themselves as busts, I’d consider Baldwin a top priority off of waivers this week.
Non-injured drop candidates: Andre Holmes, Brian Quick
